Petting Cats
Advanced Dialectical Egoism Concept and Vector Expansion Essay of Tertiary "Goodness" (1Novice/2Leader/3Territory): Territory for the Idea
In this scenario a human owns two cats. The first cat runs onto the ledge because he is generally skiddish and this is the only place he feels comfortable, and that is where he accepts being petted and feels comfortable enough to not run away. The second cat is new, and the second cat observes that one goes onto the ledge to get pet. So the first cat runs onto the ledge when something moves too quickly, where he is petted. The second cat who wants to get petted knows that in order to make this happen, she should go onto the ledge.
The ledge here is territory for the Idea, the Idea is that a human will pet a cat on the ledge. The concept of petting a cat goes back into antiquity, it is not a new idea. Yet, in contemporary times, it not only remains, but it is understood by a cat, one does not even need a human brain to understand the idea. A cat being a key agent in this Idea, which has force in the world, knows that to get pet, it can go on this ledge. For the first cat however, it may not be the primary motivation for going on the ledge, but it still determines it is in its self-interest to go onto the ledge and get petted.
Egoism outside of consciousness and in the world contains an Idea and a territory, which may or may not have history, and people have different motivations for entering into and utilizing, but none the less the force of the Idea is sturdily present in this territory.
If a human has a territory such as this available to them, they can use this territory in egoistic and highly creative manners, knowing that a territory has a force of one idea, they can use it in a vast array of manners, for new ideas and motivations. The world has a tendency towards conformity which demands someone to match their internal motivation to the territory, but this is only out of a demand for simplicity, which is to say a sort of bored laziness.
Thus the moral warrior who is not yet master of his cause can none the less recognize where his cause lies, and through folly and beginner’s luck styled genius, he/she/the/ze too can make a difference in the world.
