How would we know that an Idea ruled the world? It would have to be a holy spirit that everything functioned to serve. All of our modern ethics and institutions would have to bend the knee to the holy spirit of this Idea. It would be like a Hebrew God, present in all things, explaining all conflicts. What is this Idea?
In This Substack Essay I Reveal To You The Name of God
Happiness. Are you disappointed?
This is the Idea that Zizek and Peterson in their debate both agreed was not “of” their philosophy. Of course, who would willingly bend their knee so easily to the eternal master? Pathetic, thus, not making them happy. To bend their knee for them however, this is my job. Happiness!
Power and the Will towards it Nietzsche argued is what matters, not ethics. This is also happiness. However, happiness’ (and power’s) relation to ethics is not purely negative. What’s more, I will demonstrate to you the Tripartite Atomic Form of the World.
Without Further Delay, The Tripartite Atomic Form of the Living World
Ethics (Reflection)
Industry (company, structure, productivity)
Happiness (jouissance, desire, inspiration, perversion)
Ethics is the outer shell of the World. But make no mistake, Happiness is the name of its true God. Ethics mediates people with each other and themselves. Ethics exist in order to perpetuate Happiness. When two people agree and are happy, this universal seems obviously like a successful exercise of ethics. This is the ideal of all ethics, which is to mediate happiness.
Industry is the inner shell of the World. This makes products which are desired, and produces experts in a variety of fields that no one person could be by themselves. Productivity is the spectre of the inner shell, and expertise is its currency. To become an expert could make someone feel fulfilled, if it is their passion, which is another way of saying God’s name (Happiness if you’ve forgotten). Novices are made, skills which we hone, leaders and creators of new concepts within an industry or structure are born. They do it for their God.
Happiness, the inner sanctum, the King’s Palace, has been critiqued by Zizek as the superego imperative for happiness or enjoyment. It has been critiqued by Hegel as what prevents us from doing the true work of ethics. A particular form of enjoyment can be a tyranny, as Zizek points out, or the monarchy style Hegel advocates for could be. But Happiness itself is the God of the Monarch as it is the God of the homeless person.
The Worship of Happiness
The heroin addict does it directly by shooting heroin introvenously. The ethical structure bends to produce this form of happiness. The monarch continues to create and preserve forms which allow for it to continue, the ethical shell and industry working together to preserve monarchy.
Both have their tripartite Ethics/Industry/Happiness relation. Happiness is the Absolute Ideal which bridges and tyranizes. It does not need a direct ethics because all ethics serve it, even the Ideals which are specifically against it as an end in itself. Happiness is the name of the spectre that haunts all negations of it, it is the true end-in-itself. Their is no Kingdom of Ends as Kant wants, where the human is the ultimate Idea of the end-in-itself, it is always the Holy Spirit, that God of Happiness which is destined to be the true End-in-Itself.
So What?
Go into the world and see the name of God for yourself. Maybe you will like to forget the name of God and go into the many concepts and possibilities of the world. This is fine, since God doesn’t need an ethics for God, all ethics ARE for God. All ethics are for Happiness, all Industries, all direct relations to desire, enjoyment, they all serve the God of this world.
