I was witness to some internet blokes trying to cancel someone who they had only a superficial relation to, no power over, and for a fairly stupid reason; but, it got a brotha like me thinkin’….
Cancel Culture is natural selection. If you’ve produced an idea, and you are relying on a group of people who can and would cancel you, then why the hell shouldn’t they? Because of “principles”? Sorry, We Live In A Society (tm), principles bolster power, social machinery and sex, or have you not realized this yet? Not to worry.
Maybe one woman just decides she didn’t like the way you said “gummy bear” or something and she garnered up a mob to “cancel” you. Well, why could she do that? Why are you relying on a group of people who would do that? Who is this woman? You clearly need to pick better friends.
Maybe you have been forced into such a space. More likely, you haven’t. You’ve joined a group hastily, and suddenly decided to parrot the people in the group. Naughty naughty! Didn’t mummy and daddy warn you to think for yourself? Well, don’t worry too much, many have gotten into these sorts of predicaments. I’m here to help you get out.
Only Join An Order You Respect And Enjoy
If you’re not familiar with Rosenspeak, I’ll give you the quick Rosenpill here on “Order.” Agreements are very basic, animal like. Identity posits future agreements. Order structures agreements and works against individual identities, but it has the ability to liberate one from individual molecularization and their own individual stupidities.
If that paragraph is too tough, not to worry. I don’t want to make anyone have to learn a vocabulary, I am not Lacan and don’t charge nearly as much for sessions as he does. We can still give you the jist, just the tip: If you join a group of people to do something, you should like and respect them, and ideally trust them to not be wack. If you don’t, then you’re not in an ideal order, and if you’re not careful, you will get railed somehow.
Who Is Going To Rail Me?
Orders work to produce a result which the group is satisfied with. If you get in the way of this, you will get fucked by the crowd.1
A lot of the time, the goal of an Order which doesn’t involve money or doing a specific hobby is to simply feel important. Many groups which are political in nature don’t actually have any tangible effect on right or law— I know, hard to believe! Thus, in process, the main thing it produces is a sense of self for the participants, and perhaps some events and commodities. If you then make people feel not important, it will make them feel really mad, REALLY MAD!2
I would advise you, if you get the sense you are in a group saying they are doing big things but you get the sense that they are not in fact, doing big things, you might want to watch out. You are probably in the process of making a whole lot of people feel very important, and you don’t want to bother put this radically into question or you will make a mouth breathing, hyperventilating enemy out of them. You probably would rather have them as nothing than as some sort of brain damaged zombie lurching at you.
Natual selection means that you have to prove that they are not simply brain damaged zombies in name, but you really have to beat them, and prove you aren’t brain damaged like they are. That’s Darwin baby! Oh yeah!
Thus, Cancel Culture Is Natural Selection, But Is It Based?
No.
If you are coming together in a group to enact some sort of limp-dicked half-enthused crowd fucking, I can’t say that is a very good way to spend your time. But it is a process of becoming-based. A based-becoming, if you will.
They will attempt to eat you alive, and if you can prevent this from happening, while saying something of worth (or that is at least entertaining), I’d say that’s pretty based.
I read this phrase in a Chuck Palahnuik (fight club guy) short story about a woman who goes to a bar and winds up at the end of the story with the conclusion that Heineken makes her pussy hurt so she won’t drink it anymore.
The one time I micro-famously bothered Martin Shkreli and he described himself as “really mad” x2 was when I pointed out he made up some elaborate story to escape New York but all his friends are in New York, so he worked hard for a bad result, thus is intellectually “not based” or something.
